Laura

Meet Laura — Mum of four, homemaker, and driving instructor.

In my earlier years I was a casual dancer, Speedway racing passenger, ballet teacher, and I even had a stint as a pilot, completing my aerobatics endorsement (yes, loop-de-loops and all!) and eventually spotting whale sharks over the Ningaloo Reef. Then I became a mum and, well... here we are!

Born in Tassie, I've slowly migrated up the east coast, landing in Cairns, with a short spell on the west coast and eight years living in Kenya. All these experiences have given me a real appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and ways of doing things.

Kenyan roads are stressful! If you can navigate matatus and pikipikis weaving through traffic, cows wandering across the road, overloaded handcarts, protestors of varying moods, potholes you could lose your wheel in, and the occasional motorbike carrying a two-seater couch (complete with a passenger riding on top) then Australian roads feel pretty manageable. Safe to say, I'm no stranger to stress!

At the heart of how I teach is one simple belief: you cannot learn without making mistakes, so please don't put pressure on yourself to be perfect from day one! My goal is to create a space where you can breathe, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace, with plenty of gentle support along the way.

I love sharing what I know, and I love learning just as much, so really, we're in this together.
